Fees: MARATHON $80 until July 15

Marathon: 6:00 a.m. Marathon start. All participants must be able to complete the marathon in 6 hours (13:44 minute per mile pace) or faster.
Half Marathon: 7:30 a.m. Half Marathon start. All Half Marathon participants must maintain a 16 minute per mile pace or faster.
New Wave Start: This year we will offer a wave start. During the registration process you will be ask to give us your estimated finishing time. This will help us determine which wave to assign you to.
Event Description: This spectacular coastal marathon and half marathon offers participants breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The first stretch of the course will head right for the coast, into the village of Carlsbad. After going through the village of Carlsbad, marathoners will head south to Palomar Airport Road, PAR. After an inbound loop on PAR, you'll return to the coast and head south on Carlsbad Blvd. At La Costa Avenue, it's a quick U-Turn and back to the finish line. The highest point of elevation is 300 feet above sea level, reached after a 3 mile gradual climb between miles 7-10. The half marathoners will experience the beauty of the Pacific Ocean throughout their 13.1 mile journey, traveling out and back along the historic Hwy 101 (Carlsbad Blvd.)
